About Us

"This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of God and Father, to visit orphans and widows and to keep oneself unstained by the world."   James 1:27

"Now in Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha (which translated in Greek is called Dorcas); this woman was abounding with deeds of kindness and charity, which she continually did."   Acts 9:36

Today's Mission

  • To become a foster parent in Colorado, state regulations require
    • 55 hours of training within one year of their date of certification, and
    • 20 hours each year thereafter.
    • 8 hours of CPR/First Aid training.
    • Also available to all foster parents are support/discussion groups that meet regularly.

  • To become a foster parent in Belize today, there are
    • no required training classes
    • no continuing education
    • no support/discussion groups

In Belize, training programs are simply not available at this time. With your help, we can bring education to a willing but resource-poor people.

We are working, with the approval of Belize's Human Services Administration, to build strong resources for foster/adoptive parents and applicants, to equip them with the training they need to provide safe, happy homes for their foster/adoptive children. With your help, we can equip them for this important job.

Our Name

Transliterated from Aramaic, Tabitha means gazelle. Tabitha is the name of a disciple of Christ at Joppa whose deeds of benevolence had greatly endeared her to the people. After she was dead and her body prepared for the grave, she was miraculously restored to life through the instrumentality of Peter. This miracle then brought many to believe in the Lord through His power over death and witness of eternal life. (Acts 9:36-42)

Through Tabitha International's deeds of benevolence, we too pray many will be brought to believe in the Lord through the power of His Holy Spirit.
